Made in Danube - International Kick-off Event

ZSI attends the Made in Danube kick off meeting and International Event in Stuttgart, next 21st and 22nd March

Involving 15 project partners and 3 associated strategic partners from 10 Danube Region countries, Made in Danube tries to generate significant changes throughout the entire Danube area in order to improve framework conditions for innovation and support the implementation of regional Smart Specialisation Strategies.

The activity started in January this year and several virtual meetings have already taken part. On 21st March, ZSI will have however the possibility to present the quality assurance procedures designed for the project as well as the methodology behind WP3, that is led by our Institute and focused on the review and improvement of framework conditions for innovation in the Danube Region.

On March 22nd, moreover an International Dissemination event will take place to mark the official launch of the project. During the event, project stakeholders, representatives from regional SMEs, research institutions, regional public authorities as well as the general public will have the opportunity to meet and share their perspective on bioeconomy. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in one of the following parallel sessions:

1. Smart and innovative precision farming – held by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Danka Moravčíková, Transfer Center at Slovak University of Agriculture, Nitra, Slovakia

2. Competence Center in Wood Sector – held by Dr. Ivan Ambros, Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency HRAST, Vukovar, Croatia

3. Biofuel – held by Prof. Dr. Milan Martinov, University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad, Serbia

conducted by the representatives of the regional initiatives addressed in the Made in Danube project. At this event the pilot actions developed in teh frame of the Danube-INCO.NET initiative will be also presented.

The Made in Danube project is co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA) within the Danube Transnational Programme.
