CfP: Development of a bio-based economy in the Danube Region

Reimbursement for up to 20 young researchers available: 19-20 July in Budapest/Hotel Gellert

You are invited to join the following Danube-INCO.NET events for the development of bio-based economy in the Danube Region:

A. The Conference “Supporting the development of bio-based economy partnerships in the Danube Region through a triple-helix approach” will take place on 19 July 2016 (all day). It is one of the major events of the Danube-INCO.NET project, aiming to support the university-business-government cooperation (triple-helix model) to enhance the establishment and development of bio-based economy partnerships in the target countries, tackling societal challenges in the field of food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, water research, bio-based economy and bio-energy.   
The Conference willenvisage a plenary round table and three parallel sessions (on food,environmental technologies and bio-based energy).
B. The Brokerage Event will take place on 20 July 2016 (morning) and will facilitate matchmaking and bilateral networking between representatives from academia, business and government.
C. The 4th Clustering Workshop will take place on 20 July 2016 (afternoon) with the aim to stimulate the establishment of macro-regional and transnational partnerships among selected stakeholders active in the field of bio-based economy (a maximum of 30-35 participants may be envisaged). An elevator pitch will allow for a showcase of creative ideas from young researchers and innovator.

Participation in the above-mentioned events is completely free of charge and is extended to researchers, innovators, industry, and government actors, as well as to other interested stakeholders active in the field of bio-based economy.

Reimbursement of costs
Travel and accommodation costs of up to 20 young researchers and innovators (10 years after first degree, plus parental leave), participating both in the Conference and in the 4th Clustering Workshop, will be reimbursed by Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development.
Please, send your filled application form for reimbursement (enclosed) to Ms. Tekla Gaál (tekla.gaal@rcisd.eu) until 30 June 2016.
Priority will be given to applications from researchers and innovators willing to participate in the elevator pitch during the 4th
Clustering Workshop (5 minutes presentations of innovative ideas).
The applications will be evaluated by an expert committee.
