16. Jul 2015

Kick-off of the S&T Policy Mix Peer Reviews held in Budapest on 16 July 2015

In the frame of the analytical work of the Danube-INCO.NET project, research and innovation (R&I) policy mix peer review exercises (PMPR) in two countries from the Danube Region are foreseen. The two countries Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia expressed strong interest and commitment to get fully involved in the process.

The kick-off meeting in Budapest gathered the involved hosts from the two countries, the involved project partners and the voluntarily acting peers. This first meeting of all involved actors in the process structured the workflow, the potential focus of the policy mix peer process, the essential support elements that can enhance the uptake of recommendations in the countries, the confidentiality and organisational details. The PMPRs will take place in 2015 and 2016 and will involve the same perr review teams in both countries.

Most peers have been involved in thePMPRs in the framework of the OMC in the last years. The Centre for Social Innovation (represendet by Martin Felix Gajdusek) shared the experiences from PMPRs in Moldova and Kazakhstan in 2012 (IncoNetEECA), the ongoing PMPRs in Armenia, Georgia (IncoNetEaP) and Kyrgyzstan (IncoNetCA).
