ZSI involved in several high level activities in relation to Western Balkans integration to the Eurpean Research Area

In the frame of the project Western Balkan countries INCO-NET which ZSI coordinates (supported by the European Commission, FP7, International Cooperation), we are actively involved in several high level meetings currently being organised:

* The Steering Platform on Research is going to be held on December 1, 2011 in Sarajevo. This meeting is co-chaired by the Polish EU Presidency, by the European Commission and by Bosnia and Herzegovina as co-chair on behalf of the Western Balkan countries. Among other issues, the delegates coming from all EU Member States and Countries associated to the Framework Programme, discuss the position of the enlargement countries in Horizon 2020 as well as the Innovation Union. WBC-INCO.NET also presents the results of its innovation infrastructure mapping, analysis of national innovation systems and the priorities in the field of SSH / social innovation.

* The Ministerial Conference of the Central European Initiative (taking place in Trieste, October 19) will also be visited by the WBC-INCO.NET coordinator, supporting the networking activities.

* ZSI is also involved in several activities related to the Danube Strategy and its priority on knowledge society, science and research - as the geographical coverage of the SEE-ERA.NET PLUS project and also WBC-INCO.NET are close to the Danube Area. The meetings of the Steering Group take regularly place and ZSI is one of the stakeholders and members.
