Representatives from social enterprises, intermediary and expert organisations participated in the 2nd stakeholder meeting. Katharina Handler and Irina Vana from ZSI gave an overview of the ongoing project activities and intermediate results. Afterwards the participants brainstormed on the topics “best practices in the field of social enterprises” and “trainings for social enterprises” and presented their views in the plenary.
The participants agreed that there are three basic elements for the success of social enterprises: social sustainability, performance and price. Story-telling and making role models visible are seen as important aspects for inspiring other enterprises. Regarding trainings a dynamic mix of online and face-to-face trainings, working with real stories and peer reviews are perceived as interesting by the participants.
