Markus Otter studied Socioeconomics and Socio Ecological Economics at the University of Business and Economics Vienna. His research interests include:
- Regional Sciences
- Ecological Economics
- Urbanism
- Spatial Statistics and GIS
Throughout his studies he has done research on the regulations of new forms of work, spatial patterns of health care provision and regional competition, cooperation and innovation. He is interested in the intersections of economics, sustainability and society and the spatial aspect of sustainable development and innovation. His focus lies on data based spatial and social research.
