Support in implementation of EU funded projects

The Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) is currently seeking support by a student (or recent graduate) working part-time in the role of an intern. ZSI is a private non-profit institute for applied social sciences and implements research and application projects on the social embedding and impact of all types of innovations and contributes to the design and diffusion of socially accepted and sustainable innovations to meet global challenges.

We are mainly looking for support in the CERUSI project, which implements a Rural Social Innovation Lab Caravan to build skills and capacities for social innovation and social entrepreneurship. Rural regions in Central Europe often lack support structures to keep people in the region. The project wants to help local actors to develop and start social innovation and social entrepreneurship projects in rural and peripheral regions. Frequently these actors have insufficient support frameworks and a lack of skills and bespoke competencies in rural regions. The project addressed these issues by harnessing results from other projects that already focussed on skills and competences development for SEs in disadvantaged CE regions. Furthermore, support activities for other ongoing projects are possible.

What we offer:

  • Very good working atmosphere
  • Insights into the working of EU funded projects (Cohesion and Framework Programme)
  • Insights into diverse topics of social innovation, policy and entrepreneurship
  • Feedback and guidance from experienced project managers and researchers
  • internship of 30 h/week for three months (starting asap, latest 1st of January 2022 to March 2022)

Primary tasks during the internship:

  • Support in drafting final reports of the project such as the Transnational Rural Social Innovation Strategy and Local Action plans (thematic input, formatting, lay outing etc.)
  • Contribute to preparatory measures for the final reporting of the project
  • Support in preparation of final events (online research of contacts, stakeholders, and networks; promotion activities on social media etc.)
  • General project related tasks (administrative and thematic)
  • Overall support for other projects

What we expect:

  • University education (graduates or students in their final semesters of social sciences preferred) or relevant job experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Accurateness and reliability in data processing
  • Good command of English and German (understanding, speaking and writing)
  • Bonus: knowledge of, or interest in regional development in Central Europe, social innovation, regional (development) policy

  • € 781 per month/brutto for a 30-hour working week (equals 1.041,57 for 40h/week)
